The After Life?

Last night I was watching one of Silent Movies on TV, one of those silents found only five years back. While watching it something came to mind; these old treasures seem to have a place in time where it is simple and peaceful. The way it is so surreal and far off feeling, it seems like a dream place.
While watching this silent movie, I came to the conclusion that these are places where we go after we die (or places like this).
If you don't believe me watch a good old silent film and let it take you to that place where there are no real problems (that can't be fixed) and it always a good ending...but will it be this way forever?
I've thought about this subject for a long time and totally believe heaven will be most excellent and hey, if its a silent, then only you and I will hear what is said.

until next time:)

Taking some time to think?

Just sitting here thinking about the way the world is today and how we as humans can disagree on everything from play ground antics to major issues that can have a profound effect on many. Growing up in the 60's I have seen a lot of changes to this land, and some of them are not what we would expect from human beings. What am I saying?
For many years we have seen more and more people come into the U.S. and take plenty and turn around and leave for home only after they have drained everything from our country. If we were smart, we would help those out who need help like nieghboring countries that are so poor that most only eat half of a meal a day or even worse, no food. Can yoyu imagine, no food for a day or two! We need to be thankfulo to our Lord for His wonderful gifts He gives to us.
...and, don't forget to smile at someone today...

Can you believe it! Prophicies are coming true!

I read today in the paper where the U.S. and Arab Nations are going to create a force to police the problems in Israel. That goes right along with what it says in the Bible about the armies encompassing Israel in Luke 21: 20-23 it says, 20 “When you see armies all around Jerusalem, you will know it will soon be destroyed. 21 At that time, the people in Judea should run away to the mountains. The people in Jerusalem must get out, and those who are near the city should not go in. 22 These are the days of punishment to bring about all that is written in the Scriptures. 23 How terrible it will be for women who are pregnant or have nursing babies! Great trouble will come upon this land, and God will be angry with these people. 24 They will be killed by the sword and taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be crushed by non-Jewish people until their time is over.
It looks as though this trouble is about to happen if we look at the events of a new President that may be a fore-runner of the end times. When I talk to different Religious leaders they are all in agreement, "The End Times are very Close". If you want to see if Bible Prophecy is being fulfilled then just pick up the Word of God and Read Isaiah or Daniel; also check out the Gospels and look at what Jesus said about the end times. It is fascinating to see these events coming true!
All we can do is wait and see, but if non-Israel armies gather around the Holy Land to try and broker peace and start to persicute Israel, get on your kness and prepare for the coming of creation! better yet, "make sure your heart is right with the Lord knowing His Son as your Savior". Then there is nothing to worry about because those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Saviour will be safe from the second death...That sounds Scarry!

A NEW DAY?

Well...its a new year, 2009 already! Church was a little late getting out (I have to look for another church, some times churches have a dry spirit), so I woke up a little late this morning, (the neighbors had a party until the magic hour also).
With a new day comes a renewed spirit, and wanting to clean up what we have dirtied; so goes the start of the new year :) It is what we do with it as the newness runs out and the year is running at full speed and we are caught in the mainstream of society. (That reminds me, School starts again on Monday). Anyways, when we make a decision to lose weight or stop smoking, we try our hardest to stick by the decision. What is my New Years Resolution ? Well...I am about 25 pounds over weight, I need a better diet, and go to the gym 7 days a week not 3 or 4 days a week. It should take about 2 months to start to see results.
How about you?
All we have to do is make up our mind to do what it is we have planned, and...remember who is the Creator, The One who will answer and make things great! Prayer is the most powerful tool we as believers have in our arsenal. Mark 11:22-24 is one of my favorites when it comes to believing when we pray; 22 Jesus answered “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, fall into the sea.’ And if you have no doubts in your mind and believe that what you say will happen, God will do it for you. 24 So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you[1]
So if you are a believer and that weight is harder than usual to lose or you just can't break the habit of putting foreign debris in the lungs, every time you go into the convenience store you have to look the smokes over. Remember, "With God All Things are Possible"
